Fundraisers Benefit from Social Networking and Person 2 Person Promotions
It is great for this first event to be sold out in advance. To me it is just amazing that the tickets were primarily sold person 2 person by the network of people who are on the board. The publicity is helpful to use to draw sponsors for future events, but it proves that 1:1 connections with our community(ies) is far more impactful than a bunch of media updates and ads.
About the Taste of Downtown Nashua event
Wednesday June 3, 2009 6:30 pm
The second longest-running food and beverage event in New Hampshire!
Leveraging community to get results!
Held the first Wednesday in June, Taste of Downtown provides a unique opportunity to sample the culinary offerings of downtown’s fine restaurants. Once a year, local chefs leave their kitchens behind and serve food in downtown retail and commercial spaces. As you stroll through downtown you can enjoy live entertainment from local musicians at each of the venue sites. The evening concludes with desserts, when guests taste decadent offerings from our bakeries and chocolatier!

Thx for the ’shout out’! But Very Important Correction! The comment that I posted to Facebook was for the Gourmet Gala fundraiser for the Seacoast School of Technology on April 3, 2009. The event was great – and yes, it sold out in advance – at $100/ticket. Read about it here: http://www.seacoastonline.com/articles/20090410-OPINION-904100346
The Taste of Nashua is a separate event that takes place on June 3, 2009. Those tix are at what I consider to be a low price. They will go in sale by the end of April and will start at $30 (one ticket will provide access to sample food and beverages from over 20 restaurants across Downtown Nashua. All info will be posted to: http://www.greatamericandowntown.org
