About me

My Background
For years I’ve been at the crossroads of content, process, collaboration and the services and utilites that enable both channel- and customer-ready solutions. I’ve been a strategic marketing and alliance executive with leading software and service organizations, an active leader, program chair, and general agent of change in professional organizations such as AIIM New England and ASAP, an entrepreneur and committed volunteer.

My enthusiasm for learning new applications, my education and experience in alliance marketing sphere (product marketing, programs and management) and my interest in helping others be successful is what’s gotten me here.

I now use my alliance, marketing, and social computing experience and knowledge to help my clients — both paid and volunteer (MIT CIO Symposium and ASAP’s Collaboration & Innovation Council on Co-Creation) — to create programs that reach and engage their audiences. It’s as much about telling their story and building credibility as it is making sure their products and services match the needs of today’s buyers.

I am fortunate to be building online communities and fostering collaboration and innovation platforms that give people a new way to achieve success. Am I excited?? You bet!! Am I learning?? Every day!!

Looking Forward
I’m super excited about where software solutions are going, how they are changing the lives of people and companies from solo-preneurs and our virtual teams (that’d be me), to huge global enterprises and how they are now able to work together to achieve great things. The way these solutions are designed, delivered, and deployed through a patchwork of participants and in a variety of ways that push them out to the SMB and individual communities (using SaaS, Drupal/OpenSource, Web 2.0/Social Applications) is fascinating and a work in progress.

AIIM
Along the way I started becoming active in AIIM, now known as the ECM (enterprise content management) association. I’ve been involved with them for over a dozen years, starting out with them in Seattle where I built their first web site and acted as VP and Membership Chair. Most recently, I’ve been Program/Marketing/Sponsorship Chair for the New England chapter, a dynamic, award-winning chapter and one of the best in the country. I received the President’s Award last year for my efforts, something I’m very proud of.

My Family
I have a wonderful family (in Ashland, MA) that keeps me very busy – my daughters have just turned 7 and 10 respectfully and are great kids. My husband Steve is a great guy, a wonderful Dad, and – in his spare time – a quality assurance manager at EMC.

Outside of work and family I enjoy finding fun and funky places to check out, love great food and wines, and really look forward to hanging out with friends. I’ll be keeping tabs on special places I’ve been and fun activities I’ve found somewhere in this blog :-) .
